Social Friday, Typhoon... Also, do beavers lay eggs?
Thomas Sanlis
Hey everyone! ππ»
This morning at the hotel breakfast, I had a great chat with Steve, the founder of Codecove and a mentor at the Hacker Residency. He told me about a new project he's working on. It sounds really interesting, and I think you'd love to hear about it π! I'm going to ask him if I can share more details tomorrow.
When I left the hotel, I was greeted by quite a sight: the typhoon from last night left the streets covered in sand and debris π±! Thankfully, everything seems okay at the villa, but cleaning up the roads is going to take a while.
This morning, I had a lot of emails to answer, and then in the middle of my focus session, the software I use for my customer service had an outage π. I know it sounds weird, but it kind of frustrated me a lot, and I completely lost my momentum!
I decided to dive into something fun: my sudoku game! It's almost finished, and honestly, it's been super fun to build. Working on something simple with no pressure feels great!
Oh, alsoβ¦ I have HUGE news that I can't tell you about yet ππππ. I know, I'm sorry for the frustration! But I should be able to share more by Monday evening... Stay tuned!
Tonight was Social Friday at the Hacker Residency, and wow, what an evening! I got to meet SO many indie hackers, including some I already knew from Twitter!! It's honestly quite surreal. I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that this is actually happening π .
Even though my social batteries were getting low by the end (as usual π
), it was such a cool experience to put faces to the names I see online every day. The atmosphere was incredible, and everyone was so welcoming and easy to talk to.
I'm heading back to the hotel now to recharge (and for this special thing I told you about π), but I'm already looking forward to tomorrow. I wanna finish my Sudoku game, and I have a bunch of tiny things to do and bugs to fix on Uneed Communities before being able to start the real work: adding more features.
Oh and I also really want to start working on Writizzy more often π.
See you tomorrow ππ»
Thomas
PS: Yes, the article about the Uneed Community launch debrief is still coming π. I promise!
