Hacker Residency: Day #2

My day + My monthly plan to 10x my growth

Writizzy is my new project: a powerful and minimalist blogging platform. You should try it!

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

The day started pretty rough for me: I slept terribly! That doesn't happen to me often, and I don't handle sleep deprivation well ๐Ÿ˜….

But it's okay, tonight will be better!

I got lucky: it wasn't raining when I left for the villa this morning, and I was able to walk there just before the first drops started falling. A 20-minute walk by the sea is perfect for starting the day!

I arrived around 8:30 AM. As you can see, I was among the first ones to get there this morning ๐Ÿ˜

Despite the fatigue, I spent the morning in full focus mode on Uneed and Writizzy: I was super productive, which feels great!!
Iโ€™ve managed to check A LOT of boxes from my to-do list (yes, I use pen and paper):

Sorry for the French; being the only french person here means that I NEED to use some french sometimes ๐Ÿ˜‚.

We ended the day with the hacker residency launch kick-off, where everyone introduced themselves and talked about their projects and goals. A bit stressful, but really cool! There are quite a few people I need to talk to ๐Ÿ‘€.

But now for the serious stuff: as I mentioned yesterday, I'm going to share my plan for Novemberโ€”I have a lot planned...

Uneed Community

I'm launching Uneed Community on November 4th, in just 2 days!!

Uneed Community is a huge new feature added to my launch platform. Imagine a Twitter feed, but dedicated to makers and closely tied to their products.

The new feature has been in closed beta for a few weeks with only the core features, and it's already working really well. I still have quite a few things to add in the coming weeks, such as:

  • The ability to share your weekly to-do list and communicate what you accomplished at the end of the week, to introduce some accountability!
  • Creation of a premium subscription, giving access to tons of perks and benefits, like free monthly launches, more visibility on your posts, backlinks, etc.
  • The ability to manage your product waitlists on Uneed
  • The ability to post polls in the community
  • A mobile app dedicated to the community

As you can see, there's a lot. The idea is to gradually transform Uneed into a true virtual gathering place for entrepreneurs, where everyone can come daily to ask for feedback, talk about their work, discuss, etc.

I'd also like to convince some hacker residency participants to launch on Uneed, see if we can make enough noise to climb the leaderboards, and make it interesting for everyone!

Oh, I almost forgot: the community release comes with a HUGE redesign of the entire platformโ€”I hope you'll like it!

Writizzy

I didn't decide to write these blog posts randomly ๐Ÿ™ƒ. I recently launched a new SaaS with Hugo, a blogging platform called Writizzy.

Writizzy will be what I like to call a "boring business." A blog platform that's fairly traditional but extremely polished, powerful yet minimalist and accessible, allowing anyone to easily get into blogging.

No AI (for now), no revolutionary features, but a platform created with tremendous care and attention by people who use it daily for writing.

I have two goals this month for Writizzy:

  • Stabilize the platform and have a satisfying V1
  • Get our first paying customer

I'm super excited about this project: I really think there's something here! Personal blogs have declined a bit in recent years, but with the advancement of AI, I think the trend will reverse. It's going to become increasingly difficult to find authentic, interesting content created by humans. Personal blogs are an excellent way to address that.

Moreover, the blogging platform ecosystem really needs a boost. Ghost is extremely expensive, WordPress is heavy, Medium is annoying. Writizzy will be the best of these three worlds ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Before ending this article, I sincerely want to thank everyone who reads me ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป. Really, it warms my heart to read your feedback and comments. I don't know exactly how to define it, but it's one of the most rewarding things I've experienced on the internet.

Thank you a thousand times, and see you tomorrow ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป
